The daily reporting of stories of trauma and violence around the world affects a mesmerized public, triggering fear, dread, numbness and indifference. When I realized that trauma is at the root of violence and that fast developing, yet sparsely implemented, techniques to heal trauma were available, I became committed to changing the trauma vortex to a healing vortex.
